Helen

Helen has been singing for as long as she can remember. Her first public appearance was at the age of five when she and a group of friends held a show in her back garden and charged a penny entrance fee, never forgetting the song she sang, Lonnie Donegan's Puttin on the Agonies, Puttin on the Style. From the age of eleven Helen was gripped with the need to perform.

She joined the local youth club and participated in all the shows and pantomime's and also did Highland/Tap dancing. Helen joined an Amateur Dramatic Society for five years doing Musicals, there she gained a lot of experience and presentation. She played the part of Sandy in the show Grease and was approached by a member of a local band who was looking for a female vocalist, that was the start of her career, fronting many bands, Trio's and Duo's, all over the UK and abroad.

Her influences in music to name but a few are Barbra Streisand, Janis Joplin, Bette Midler and Skin (Skunk Anansie), all powerful singers with deep meaningful presentation.

Helen's contribution towards Without a Doubt is doing what she is best at and that is fronting, grabbing her audience's attention with her singing.

Her lively presentation has gained her the knickname
"Pocket Dynamo" and her bubbly friendly yet slightly bold
approach makes this Duo what it is today....
